Expertise

Thanks to this collaboration Thomas More is the only research group in Flanders with expertise in the cultivation of biomass, the extraction and modification of biobased chemicals on laboratory and pilot scale. Supplementary, this group has expertise in using and developing computer models to predict the physicochemical and (eco)toxicological properties of chemical compounds .



We possess expertise in:

• Cultivation of insects & algae
• Extraction of biobased chemicals
• Separation processes on pilot scale
• ​Physico-chemical analysis on insects and algae and their feed/residue
• Computer models (in silico models) for the prediction of physicochemical and (eco)toxicological properties
